Debbie has been a certified instructor for US Sailing, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, National Safe Boating Council, and several US States. She has both organized and presented at several Sailing Women's sailing events. She also developed L.A.S.T. — Learn About Sailing Things®, She Sailor Sea Story and WOWzR!

Debbie has had the opportunity to sail on dozens of boats including her beloved Santana 23D and two tall ships. She has raced, cruised and has served as delivery crew near- and off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico and along the California-Baja coast. Debbie currently owns a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 which she sails in and around San Diego Harbor.
